The new Ronald McDonald House at Rady Children's Hospital here in San Diego is a place for the families of critically ill children to stay while their child undergoes treatment at children's hospital. A generous donor has provided a wonderful Yamaha grand piano for the lobby area, and they are looking for people to play it. The time they are most interested in having music is from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm - this is the dinner hour and is the time when the most families are at the Ronald McDonald House.

Due to concerns about the flu in general and H1N1 specifically, at present pianists must be at least 16 years old to perform. If you are interested in serving in this way, please contact Kerrina Koltz:

ASCAP - Reminder for all MTAC teachers:

MTAC holds an ASCAP license for all events programmed under the auspices of MTAC statewide, including individual MTAC teachers’ student recitals. To make sure that composer and publisher members of ASCAP are reimbursed for the performance of their compositions, please be sure to send in your student recital programs to the state office.

Attention MTAC teachers!

Several teachers have expressed concern over prospective students already having their phone number and address when contacting them about lessons - apparently having received this information from another MTAC teacher. Please refer students to our website, http://www.sandiegomtac.com/, if they are in need of a referral to another teacher. There they can send an email to any teacher via our server, which does not reveal the teacher's email. Please protect your colleagues' privacy!

The MTAC directory is intended for the use of members only. The information should not be shared with businesses of any kind or non-members, nor should it be used by members for promoting their own businesses. When you discard your old directories, shredding the pages helps to protect everyone's privacy.
