San Diego Chapter Scholarship

On May 21, 2011, the Music Teachers' Association of California,San
Diego Chapter sponsored its 19th Helen B. Goodlin Scholarship
awards.
This contest for keyboardists (pianists
and organists) and instrumentalists is open to all young San Diego
County musicians up to the age of 19, or in senior year of high
school by May 19th.

ELIGIBILITY:
A social security number must be supplied to receive an award. Applicants
must be residents
of San Diego County for at least one year prior to the preliminary
audition date. The teacher does
NOT have to be a member of MTAC.
MTAC and San Diego County musicians of all ages also
participate in a Playathon each January or
February to help increase the principal of the Goodlin Scholarships.
In 2012 approximately $3000 was raised for the awards.
